Be In Fashion

Forecast in Fashion

2008 will be Fantasy and Art.

This is the year of extreme colours and designs. Imaginations will be unleashed. Designers and houses that holds on to the established looks will fall by  the way side. Almost unlimited choices of materials from new and cutting edge textile manufacturing makes possible new trends not seen before.

For the Fall/Winter 2006 the trend that barely got off the ground in 2005 will continue to flourish. This is the retro look of the 1920's and 1930's. With a touch of Edwardian, Bolero and Russian Style Blazers. Blazers will be tight and of the same material as the skirt although in a much lighter or darker colour. Worn with a contrasting undershirt. The Russian look, with heavy Furs and low heeled boots will be in vogue for those who can afford it. The military style Jackets will make a comeback in more feminine colours in a bolero style cut. Floral and lacy dresses will still be around with the accent on Edwardian or Russian style collar worn with heavy chokers.

White will dominate other colours in late 2006 and early 2007. The cut will be utilitarian in bolero style. Tight fitting with a touch of career/business look. School girl cuts will hit the streets for the casual crowd.

Black will still be the colour of choice for evening wear or a night on the town.

Carabella CorporationVelvet Jackets with Lace Trims worn with skintight pants in Russian or German military style Boots will turn heads this coming season.

Fashion taste will lean toward the unique and themed look. To be different or at least not exactly similar to the mass produced style that spews out of the vast factories of China. These are not sweatshops of yesteryears. These are highly modern and high tech industries able to manufacture goods in unprecedented quantity and style.

Casual mix and match, patches, tears, scrapes and scruffs are passé. Fashion will reflect the level of income and status enjoyed in society. Body fitting dresses and skirts and revealing cuts in diaphanous or lacy trim will be more popular.

Retro Prints have made a comeback and will still be a strong influence in the coming years. However, it will be in more subdued leaning towards natural shades of brown and green in a more flowing computer aided designs.
